The Crossing

Underneath the contemporary architecture of Toronto glassy skyline hides an unseen past. This bridge is tucked away quietly within Riverdale Farm and it is amazing to see that structures like this still lead the new world into Toronto’s old.

  1. This is wonderful. I remember that bridge from when I was a kid, when there was a Riverdale Zoo. I lived on Flagler St., off of Sackville Place. I used to hang out there a lot. I remember being there the day after Hurricane Hazel. The bridge was under water. The whole valley was inundated and there were cars in the Don, lodged under a bridge. The police took us home, claiming that some of the big cats were loose. I was never able to confirm that.

  2. I enjoy the lines directing my eyes, while the leaves really compliment the un-evenness of the path. Nicely done.
